Above: Two very funny drawings of Lloyd and Donald as rendered by then fellow High School of Art & Design chum, Micheal Sargent. By the way - Mike does a late night radio show called Niteshift on monday nights from midnight till 2am. (WBAI, 99.5 FM here in New York)

Family and friends of the Out Of Bodies received this in their stockings one Christmas... home-made CDs of their greatest hits! (Hey, come on... it's better than SOCKS!) This is the rather ornate, slickly produced CD cover.

Geez! I thought I threw that out!

Here's a small sample of a song that featured Mark on vocals and Dan and Donald on guitar and keyboards. The song itself is an ode to sad clowns everywhere. For some reason the idea of a sad (and possibly alcoholic) clown seemed like good subject matter for a real good, moody tune - and the Out Of Bodies labored and flubbed through quite a few takes - this being just one of them. It never developed into anything substantial - although it did have it's funny moments. To this day Mark hates this song.
Right: One of the Out Of Bodies having an Out Of "Character" experience... a self portrait of Mark. |

If "Analyzing" were a single, the cover art might've looked something like this. Artist interpretation by Margie Dros, former high school classmate of four of the Out Of Bodies.

Here's a song we found on a cassette that wasn't even labeled! It contained very raw demos of Dan singing solo. Although it's a bit difficult to decipher the lyrics and we don't know who's backing away from what, it's a very catchy tune with some nice acoustic guitar work. Maybe one of these days Dan will tell us what this song is about!
Right: A photo from Dan's mp3.com page, in which, for a short while, he went by his solo career name, Dan Ban. |

| Long before Mark became an Out Of Bodies member himself he designed this Out Of Bodies logo. Forever after that they were monikered with the acronym, the OOBs. |

A real early photograph of Donald and Lloyd practicing with their guitars in 1983. At the time, one of their most important guitar-chord books was a two book, boxed set called "The Beatles - Compleat" which contained every song the Beatles recorded. When this picture was taken in Cunningham Park in Queens, New York, that was what they were looking at. It was their "bible."

Here's one that's more than just "lost" - it's virtually unknown to everyone... including us. Dan's never said much about this song, only that it was a special request of someone who knew his mom - asking her to ask her talented, songwriting son to come up with a charitable tune about a little boy named Jacob Shotwell. Mysterious references within the lyric raise questions as to the whereabouts of the child. Is he ill, and down by Doctor Soo's? Or is it just a childhood reference to Dr. Suess? And this is to say nothing about another doctor mentioned in the song, Dr. Drew. The lyrics tease "Holly the cat, knows where you're at...." Who's Holly the cat? Yet another unanswered query. As with many of Dan's recordings - the lyrical meanings remain a long-standing mystery.
Right: Dan rockin' at age 8.
